We are a family that has called this beautiful state home for our entire lives, and we love sharing the magic of the Lakes Region with our guests. There is nothing quite like watching the leaves turn brilliant shades of orange and red in the fall, when the air gets a little crisp and the landscape seems to pause for a moment of quiet beauty.
Our lake house sits just 20 minutes from Gunstock Mountain Resort, making it the perfect base for winter fun. When the snow falls you can head out for a day of skiing or tubing, then return to the warmth of a crackling fire and a hot cup of cocoa on the spacious deck. In the summer the same trails become inviting pathways for hiking and exploring, with the lake’s calm waters offering a refreshing spot to cool off after a long walk.
Lock Lake is a 160 acre private lake nestled in the heart of Center Barnstead. With an average depth of seven feet and a maximum depth of fourteen feet, the lake is ideal for kayaking, canoeing and gentle fishing. Because the lake is privately owned there is no public access, which means our guests enjoy a peaceful, secluded setting surrounded by the natural beauty of New Hampshire’s woodlands. The surrounding community adds a touch of charm, with quiet roads and friendly neighbors who share a love for the outdoors.
